Cornelia Remeyn woont (volgens het Bevolkingsregister) in Leeuwarden  bij haar Oom Jan Ruurd Kuipers en Fokeltje Kragt in de periode 16 03 1885 - 21 05 1887; komende van Oostzaan en weer vertrokken naar Oostzaan. 
Nadat Jan Plekker, 23 jaren oud, van beroep pakhuisknecht, op 6 januari 1891 getuige is geweest bij het huwelijk van broer Dirk met Fijtje Offenberg, vertrekt hij met zijn vrouw  in mei 1891 vanuit Zaandijk naar Noord-Amerika. In november 1900 keert hij vanuit  Rochester,  U.S.A. terug in Zaandijk met zijn vrouw Cornelia Remeijn en hun drie kinderen:

An article from the Zaandam newspaper dated 28th of May 1964, which I found in the Zaandam Archieve.

It is about the visit to the Oudheidskamer "Zaans History house" in which house Wilhelmina lived, as a child with her family, in the rooms viewing the river Zaan. She, than, was very surprised that there were lots of items remembring her childhood still present in the house.

And mentioning the Plekker family, a well know woodsawers family of the woodsaw mill De Pet.

Amazing was that after 50 years mrs. Orlebeke-Plekker and her husband Joe (who was an American) both spoke so well in the Dutch language.

Mr. and Mrs. Orlebeke were for some days the guests of family Hartog-Spits. (she was the granddaughter of Wilhelmina Sibbelina Plekker) (and for Ike Roelfsema they are the grandparents).  Ike put pictures of this visit on her blog, under "Orlebeke".   plekkerdescendants

Hi, my name is Jane Douros.  I am the granddaughter of Jan (John) Plekker who emigrated to the US as a child in the early 1900s.  His brother was Johannes (Joe) Plekker.  I was looking on line into the Plekker descendants and noticed a blog naming the Orlebeke (Minnie) and Radius sides of the Plekker family.  I remember them as my grandfather’s sisters when we would get together every July 4^th at my great uncle Joes’s cottage in Holland Michigan where I grew up.  I am very interested in learning all that I can about the Plekker side of the family.  Thanks for you help,
